Though I must confess I am not moved in the way I was yesterday, so This entry will not be as good as it could have been. But on with it!
This is Amy and I's pet potato. We have been raising it for about 4 or 5 months now. It had some little brothers an sisters, but they fell ill and didn't make it through the harsh winter. His/Her name is Potato Tree. Because well, he/she (not to be confused with a shemale. Pet potatoes are asexual) is growing upward like a tree.
Being the cannibalistic parents that we are, Amy and I ate his brother. He tasted delicious cooked as potato wedges. And made for a satisfying meal accompanying some nice steaks. But then something strange happened, we forgot about Potato Tree. He was left alone in a dark cupboard. But not for long, we found him, and brought him out into our world.
We told him promises of great things, like sweat potato fries, potato wedges (like his brother), baked potato, mashed potato. But again we forgot about him. And he went on, hiding in plain sight. Eventually Amy and noticed our young lad was growing up.
With his new found limbs, we grew amazed by his every day spirit. He grew bigger, longer, taller. We couldn't eat something so precious. Well, really we thought we would get sick, so we didn't eat him/her. But we kept Potato Tree around, and watched his/her progression. And now Potato Tree sits atop of out refrigerator.

Moving on.
It is my Thursday specific blog. Do you know why it is Thursday specific? Because every other Thursday is Coopers night. And it is the every other Thursday today.
Well technically it should be a bi-week off day, but we were on last week when we should have been off. And if you have been reading you will now why. If not, I will tell you.
Two weeks ago we made an official break in the rules (I set the rules, so I do as i please). On that on day on an off day, I hit the magical 500 number I have been killing myself to get to for 3 and a half years. Yes literally killing myself, drinking is not good for your body. So I sent out an official statement, Rock the Dock '09 (To be held inside at the ship bar). They came from far and wide, and I got pretty intoxicated. I thought I was seeing things, but it turns out, this is real, and I drank it. And I did not like it one bit.
Even with a chaser I could not get the flavor out of my mouth. What is it you ask? You can not tell by the looks of the floating fat. It is a vat (more or less) of bacon flavored vodka. Floating in real cooked bacon. Now I love bacon just as much as the next guy, but I do not like this at all. At all I say.As the night progressed toward the magical 500 and the not so magical, drinking bacon vodka, I was drinking some pretty high alcohol content beers. I started with a Barley Wine, then moved into some 10% (or more beers). I got pretty loud. You should know what that means.
Well 500 have been put into my body, and it's time to move on. I am doubtful I will hit 1000 (the next step), but I don't have anything else to do. So tonight starts the next 3 and a half year adventure in my life! Tonight we start toward 1000! and here is a look back at the first 500 that started off the journey.
