Yes that is a can of Miller High Life. Still going strong on the Labor Day Weekend.

Scranton, the Electric City.

And the Labor Day festivities begin. Friday evening and we are going strong. Just the way we like it here in The NEPA. Even the pupster is having a blast. As are the skeeters. They must have made off with at least a pint of of my blood already. Little basterds.

It Never Stops!

No post production at all! These were all photos. here is the description from the YouTube page.

"This is the PEN Story in stop motion. We shot 60.000 pictures, developed 9.600 prints and shot over 1.800 pictures again. No post production! Thanks to all the stop motion artists who inspired us. We hope you enjoy :-)"

And of course to bring it back to the Ruckus. Here is an....ummm.... interesting video.

What do you think of that?

Holy Crap!

I found two videos I really liked today. This first one I am showing you is the second video I found. I really really like this video. So here it is.

This next one I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but then I decided that I did. So it is worth the share.

If you haven't realized it yet, I had a blast making my last video, so I have been looking through videos online for ideas. I'd say for the most part my good ideas come from other peoples bad ideas. I see what they did, and say that sucks, if they did it this way it would have worked better. So I take that and run. I also like to see terrible videos for a good laugh.

Nothing beats watching redneck videos. They always do something funny. I don't learn anything from the to use video wise, I just learn how not to live my life. And when I feel like I was given a shit hand at something, I watch a redneck video on YouTube and see them fucking things up and say, hey that was funny shit!

So starting today is The La Festa Italiana. And that means good food close to my place (walking distance) and the streets full of D-Bags. Yes every year, the streets around Court House Square (Adams, Linden, Spruce and Washington) flood with tents full of the best Italian food around. I eat my fill of cannolis, white pizza and gnocchi. I then manage to bump/run/smash and flat out crash into 100's of people. All complete D-Bags. But in the end, it is worth it for the cannolis.

Also this weekend is The Polish Luau, JT's birthday (29 this year) and Labor Day. So here is Amy and I's plan of attach.

Today, cookout at my parents place. This will involve chicken, sweet corn, "tatters," beer and doing laundry. And at the end of it, I do not have to do any dishes. That part is always a plus. It should be pretty fun. Amy and I were over for a similar cookout last month, and I think it went really well. But this time The Meepers will be there for the fun. He and I are meeting Amy at my parents after work.

Tomorrow holds some as of yet un-told adventures. We do know tomorrow night we will be hitting up La Festa and then heading over to the Polish Luau, but the after noon is open to interpretation. My morning how ever is spoken for. The Meepers and I have to go to North American Warhorse to get a state inspection done.

It has been a year, well actually a little more than. We kind of got screwed with the inspection. I bought The Meepers the first week of August, so I thought they put the inspection sticker on when you buy a vehicle. You know, like they did with my car, my parents cars, so on and so forth. But I guess Riders World doesn't operate like a real place that sells vehicles. By this I mean they slapped the inspections sticker on The Meepers when they "assembled" him. This was the last week of July. So un-be-knownst to me, my inspection was up a month sooner than I thought. I was going to get it taken care of two weeks ago but that was an open house, then last week Amy and I went to Philly
(NA Warhorse only does inspections as first come first serve on Saturdays). So tomorrow this will be taken care of.

But our afternoon is still wide open. I suspect we will clean a bit and shoot some place for lunch and possibly a local adventure. I am thinking Seven Tubes of something like that. OH! There is always Rickets Glen.

And then for La Festa!

Food Fun and D-BAGS! That will be fallowed by The Polish Luau! The Luau is hosted by Beer League 08' They are premiering their brand new, and first ever home brew. They made rough 50 beers and it is time to drink them! And I for one am ready to taste that hector!

I'm up to Sunday already. Well JT's party is that night, but in the day..... what do I have in store? Well If Amy is working, will be filming for my next video project. The Meepers and I are going to be driving around Scranton filming. I want to try and get some of La Festa in there. But I also have a surprise, but I think that will be used for the fallowing video. The rest of the day will be filled with watching Lost and reviewing the footage I took that morning.

Then the night will be filled with beer and bad behavior. Is there really any other way to start off the last year of a friends 20's?

Then Monday, Labor day, well, lets just call this the day of rest. After all this excitement , I will need a little R & R. There is only so much one man and one Meepers can take. We are professionals, but come one now, evens the pros get a day off.

I will now leave you with some more interesting videos.

And

And

That is all, carry on.

It's Alive!

Well it is real. So the cast of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is going to put on the play "The Night Man Cometh" Live! Yes that's right they are going to do the show live in Philly!

Don't know what I am talking about!? Well you should. It is a great show. It's on FX. It starts up again real soon. Here is a taste of what I am talking about.

And here are some clips of it already preformed. I guess they took it to the road.

Yes this is real and happening. Because, "You gotta pay the troll toll o get into the boys troll hole." Amy and I saw this even advertised in a weekly on out adventure in Philly this past Saturday. Though the 8 p.m. show is sold out, at the time there were still tickets for the 11 p.m. show. To bad it is on a Thursday night and it is the week we are going on vacation.

We will be back in town Wednesday night. But driving to Philly and back the very next day, is not something I want to do. Why not stay the night you ask? Because it is a black out month for work. I had to fight to get three days off to go away. So I am sad to say I will not be attending the live show. But you should! And sneak in a camera and record it for me! I really want to see it!

Moving on.

It seams as though my video "Life at 40 MPH" was well received, Though there is not a high hit count yet (but it has only been live for about 24 hours now). have got nothing but compliments from people who have watched and talked to me. If you have a comment about it, good or bad, feel free to let me know. You can comment on YouTube, or if you don't have an account comment here. You don't need an account.

And because this is my forum to speak and use as I see fit, I am going to do some post whoring and here you go.

And if you would like to watch the shorter Teaser version, you can do so by clicking here. <---That blue text right there will take you to YouTube and this blue text right here ----> Will take you to Vimeo, where it is hosted with the original music.

Well I guess that is about all I have to say right now. So I will leave you with one last link. This will take you to a few photos of The Meepers being used in a photo shoot. They are "working on" The Meepers. If it doesn't take you to the correct page, they are on page 75 almost at the bottom.

That is all, carry on.

Full on Fullness!

IT IS HERE! Check out the full length version of "Life at 40 MPH." Here are both the Vimeo and YouTube videos. Both are the same. YouTube allowed the use to The Postal Service for this video. Which I am really happy about, because when I thought about making this video that was the first song that I thought of. The intro is perfect for this video. But any-who, Vimeo is probably better for video quality, but YouTube will probably stream faster.

And now I present you with the full version of "Life at 40 MPH." Music by The Postal Service- Such Great Heights

So what do you think? That is three days worth of footage. The ride in is two days, and the ride home is another. I really like it. I dropped the frame rate down to a low 10 frames a second, and varied the speed of the video. Nothing super fancy for this project.

I am however, already working on another video. This one will take a little longer. I am thinking a few weeks. I am going to collect a lot more footage. Different angles, and more than just my daily commute to work. It will also include some final touch ups in After Effects. Make it look a little more "artsy."

Would you like to help make the next video? If you're around the Scranton area let me know. I have a guy in mind I am going to call and see if he is interested in going on a Sunday ride and get a few shots.

In other news...... Well, I don't really have any other news.

I now have "Other News."

Apparently I am a little low on oil. The Meepers was used in a photo shoot today. One of the models we use came in for a photo shoot today. He was injured in I think a car accident a few years ago. He was left as a paraplegic. He is the crew chief for his brothers racing team. They race these crazy looking high powered quads. Well the photo shoot was suppose to be him and his brother "working" on things. So I let them use The Meepers. I guess they checked the oil for the shoot, because I wasn't going to let them actually work on The Meepers. And they told me I am a "Little low."

I only mention the oil being low because I find it funny. When I last changed it, it was a little high. I had to syphon some out. And I got it pretty much where it should be. It was a tad high. Now it is low. I really hope this engine is not burning oil. I will be very sad. I will either read and read, then go to the dark side (GY6), or be forced to find another engine and swap yet again. Either way, I refuse to let The Meepers be down and out.

That is all, carry on.

Life at 40 MPH-TEASER

So I made myself a little camera mount yesterday. After testing it a little bit, I found it to work best as a helmet mount. So I made a teaser video. I recorded my journey home from work yesterday (about 30 minutes of running footage) and forgot to charge the camera up after I took the video from it. So about 8 minutes into my commute to work today it died.

No worries I used the footage to mess around with and make a short teaser. There will be more to come tomorrow, after I get the drive in. One thing got my goat thought. And that was YouTube.

YouTube would not let me use The Flaming Lips as my song of choice. I thought they were on Warner Bro's and WB had a contract with YouTube. Unless I am thinking the other way around, that WB will not let YouTube use their artists.

Any way, I used one of YouTube's songs. And I also posted the video on Vimeo. Vimeo let me use my original song. But without further adieu, here are both videos. Same thing, different music.

First Vimeo, with The Flaming Lips.

Life at 40 MPH from Jeffrey Grant on Vimeo.

Now YouTube, with (Go for a Ride on My) Sinclair C5.

So what do you think?

The video was shot using a Contour HD Helmet Cam. With a mount I made (out of some industrial strength hook and loop cable wraps). I like the camera. I used it for a resent Bryan Anderson shoot. I like the results. A little fish eye look.

So This morning I had to stop at the Eye Doctor again. It almost didn't seem worth it. He thought he gave me drops last week, but he told me he wanted to wait another week and see if there is any improvement, there wasn't. Then he wrote me a script for some $75 drops and made me schedule another appointment for 3 weeks from today. Hopefully that one is longer than 8 minutes so I get my $40 co-pay worth.

But I can't complain. I found out I had a problem with my eyes, hopefully before it was to late. He caught it two weeks ago, I just wish I had two weeks worth of healing done. But once this is fixed I can get zapped with lasers. or so I am told. I did get a free sample of the drops I need to take, but it is only about 4 days worth, and I need to take them for 14 days.

4 times a day for the first week, then 3 times a day after that. Then I have to go back for another check up. But that is after VACATION!

I am not stoked to wear my glasses for 6 months (or less) and especially on vacation. But I got one thing that will be OK. I will be done with the drops before I go! So at least I don't need to take the drops while I am at the shore.

Speaking of the shore, Amy and I want that damn warm weather to come back. At least for 2 more weeks. We are going to the beach in two weeks after all. And do you know what they have at the beach? A god damn ocean to swim in! And we want to swim in that god damn ocean!

If you would be so kind as to comment on YouTube, or Vimeo if you have an account. Or feel free to comment here, you do not need an account to comment on this blog. And I will read it.
