Wednesday Blog!

Well unlike yesterday I have an idea for today's blog. But I forgot to take pictures last night or this morning, rendering that entire idea useless. And well, it would just spoil it if I went ahead and told you the idea and tried to talk about it with out at least one photo. Because let's face it. you will not come back to check this entry tomorrow and see the photo. So we will include in tomorrows post, along with the idea I already have. And that idea is Thursday specific.

And no, I am not going to keep naming the blog entries as days of the week. But it is amusing to me, so I may let it ride for a few more days.

Well today both Amy and I had to be up and ready for work in the morning. This hasn't happened in a while. So we are out of practice for the two of us running around like asshats in the morning. Over all it went pretty smooth, and as far as I know, we both made it to work on time. But I can not speak for Amy, I haven't talked to her this morning/afternoon.

But I can say this. It was beautiful this morning. Not 100% blue skies, but enough of them. A little gray doesn't ruin the morning. But the temp was perfect for riding. Not to hot, not to cold, just right. No gloves this morning and I had my visor flipped up to cool down from time to time.

All in all, a Very pleasant riding experience. But I just tried to make it better. I was about to purchase a new Variator for The Meepers. But I think I hit a brick wall. I received an error from BowlsLA stating that my shipping didn't match my billing. Well there is a check box that fills in you shipping for you. So I tried to go back and check the info, I got logged out. So I logged back in.

I got the same error so I go and check my info one more time, and all seems well. Then I got another error saying repeat order placed. Now I need to give them a call. But they are open from 1200-1900 hours PST. So that means I have to wait another 2 hours and 15 minutes to call them. But I think I will do it sooner.

I have ordered from them in the past, and I am sure it was just a glitch. I think this will get taken care of pretty easy, as long as I can get them on the phone. Some times it is hard to get someone on the phone at these small boutique stores.

Well right now I am having a problem just trying to load their page. So I am guessing it is a problem with their site. And all I want to do is copy and paste the URL. I am so lazy I don't want to type it to make a hyper link.

Moving on.

Sunday after stopping at the Pep to visit Amy, I drove past a few scooters coming home. I rarely see them around town. And mostly I see them when I am in my car. I saw 3 though on this particular Sunday. One alone then later 2 driving together on Washington Ave. by Coopers. I had the green coming up Gibson and they were at the light on Washington heading toward Greenridge. After I got about a block away it hit me, TURN AROUND AND GO TALK TO THEM. But then I realized they could A) be heading down Washington still, in which case I would have to try and catch up. And one was on a Yamaha Vino, though I only caught a glimpse on the front end, so I am not sure if it was the 50cc or 125cc version. The other looked to be a 50cc Baja. B) They had already turned off and looking for the would end in failure. And I am to frail to deal with more failure. or C) They would think I am some crazy creepy guy fallowing them.

So instead I went home to lay on the couch and watched some Smallville Season 2. I think I made the right decision. After all, I do drive around a lot, I am bound to run into the again. Right?

Now for new section. Funny words to hear the blog read:

Punch her in the dick.

Shit stealer.

Tim smells funny.

"Hey there paperboy"

Tuesday

So it is now Tuesday. And for this day, I have nothing planed. I am really tired today, not sure why. I got what I thought was enough sleep. But I guess I didn't.

What is on my mind right now is scooter parts. I want to buy some parts, but there are 0 used parts of what I am looking for right now. Well, the cosmetic stuff. I didn't look into the performance stuff yet. I said I would wait until my warranty is up.

Thought I don't think these would void said warranty. It is just a Variator, roller weights and an ECU. The only thing I see voiding anything is the CDI box, but I'll keep the old one for a wile, just in case. But then again, I only have one more month left on my warranty.

But I want a bobbed fender. But I want to do it myself. So I am looking for a stock fender. in case I botch the job real bad, I want a spare.

Any way, I have been a busy little beaver at work these past 2 days. 3 video shoots in two days! here is me hard at work.

I have also been trying to hone in my Photoshop skills. I've been doing some things like this. But take note, I wanted you to easily be able to tell I added things to the photos. You'll see what I mean.

I like the way they look with now background. The white kind of ruins them. It gives them a boarder. And in case you are wondering who the guy it, it's Scootski. He like to rant and rave over at Total Ruckus. Kind of annoying/kind of funny.

I have also created a Tumblr account. But that is this same blog. I think I finally have it set up the way I want it. Today is my test. It should give you the blog tittle, a photo and a few lines as a description. All of that should link you here to Blogger.

But just because I am rambling on about nothing at all, the rest of the world is supplying me, and you will great fun facts! Like this for example forwarded to me by a reader. OK Tim sent it to me, but he reads this blog, so he is a reader. even if he sits one foot away from me. I hope you're hungry..... for LOVE.

Also from a reader, OK, OK,OK. Tim again. The video of the events that led to this event.

Now that is comedy. Who hasn't been there raise your hand (raises hand).

And here is a great remix of the first video.

Great! That is all I can say.

Now Tim is scaring me. He is watching a video about cats. Cats are evil, they hate me. Make my eyes all screwy. Oh.... ummmm, hey Tim.

That is all, carry on.

Head Over Heals

That's how I almost arrived to.... well the hospital this morning. Scary and ironic is what it was. I just got done reading this story before I left for work on The Meepers this morning. Go ahead click the link and give it a quick read. I am waiting for you to catch up.

OK if you are Tim, you are listening to the blog. So I'll recap. A 25-year-old man was riding his Ruckus last Friday night at 7:30 p.m. A man in a car did not see him and pulled out in front of him. The man on the Ruckus ran into the back of the car and was thrown from the scooter. He has severe head trauma. He was not wearing a helmet.

See where I am going with this? There are a few differences.
1) I was and always do wear a helmet. This is the reason why.
2) The car did not pull out in front of me.

There was a car and a very large pick-up truck involved this morning. I had just left home so it was at 8:00 a.m. (it is now only 8:42). I was a few blocks from my place, and had just gone through two traffic lights. Right after the second one the car turned left. Now I couldn't even see this car because the truck was so huge (No need for a truck this big). I am guessing the car didn't have his turn signal on, or the drive of the truck was not paying attention. Either way the truck lock his brakes all of a sudden and that left me to do the same. I know this truck couldn't see me because I am pretty small out there on the road (Why I still wear my bright yellow helmet.) and this truck was both wide and high (lift kit). I had a good distance between us. But well the brakes on a Rucks are, not so good.

REVIEW MONDAY!

Honda Ruckus stock brakes. They suck!

END REVIEW MONDAY!

All I Could think about was Bobby flying over his bars, and me doing the same thing. But I would not have gone very far. I see two options. I would have either slammed into the tailgate of the truck, or ended up in the bed. I guess there is an option 3, under the truck.

I immediately pictured my bloody pulp of a body grabbing my cell phone to call Amy. That was my first thought. Figure it out, I have.

But in the end all I had to do was send a text telling her I almost died, and to remind her to drop off a resume.

So if you still haven't figured it out by now, I didn't die or get into an accident, but it was a narrow miss. I had to Fred Flintstone that shit.
But The Meepers and I came out un-scaved. And I am eating a scone. I like them. They are yummy, and this one is still pretty fresh.

The Price Chopper in Dunmore is so good. The one on Monroe Ave. is close, but pretty much shit. Baked good are always stale.

So now I just ate my lunch. It was great! I have a team of great chefs preparing my food for me. Amy and some guy named Chef Jeff.

We bought some "Chinese Sausage" last night. We had never heard of it before, so we said "OK" and bought it. It was only $5. We then decided to make if for dinner. So while I was cleaning the day of being a lazy slob off my body, Amy was doing some chopping and stir-frying. It was GREAT! The sausage is very sweat. I do recommend it. It is also super red. From the descriptions of the sausage, ours did not include liver. The stuff we bought was very dark red.

I also cut up a bunch of fresh veggies and made some great salad. We bought some "fancy" dressing, that were on sale. And they were also great! I am so full from lunch. All I want to do right now is take a nap. And hopefully the dreams I would have, would not be filled with scooter accidents. But rather zombies!

I have been dreaming a lot about zombies. Not sure why, but they are freaking me out. One such dream involved me yelling that I had to go back for The Meepers. In my dream, Amy agreed that it was a good idea to go back and get him. Then the alarm went off, and I woke up. The ending is ruined! I can only hope to have that dream again.

After telling The Meepers about my dream, he agreed the I had made the right decision. And he dubbed the dream:

I leave you with that. I have an over whelming sense of sleep now. It could be the great lunch or the fear that if I don't finish the tale of Zombies and Meepers saving, the story will fall to the way side.

That is all, carry on.

The World is a Vampire

Sent to drain. So I got that going on inside my head. Along with this.
Both while I work this Dress Down Friday. Why such two different things n my mind you ask? I'll tell you why.

Amy and I are going to Hershey park tomorrow. So today seems to be dragging on. One of those days that never end. You know, people started working it not knowing what it was, and people kept on working it forever just because..... You get the idea. So Amped as we are, it is making today seem like an eternity.

And we know how I want to spend my eternity now don't we. And it doesn't involve working. I learned a few things yesterday. Let me have sharing time now.

One thing I learned was that if you are an AAA member Hershey park tickets are $10 cheaper. You must buy them at AAA of course, but lucky for me I live a few blocks away. While there I was informed that there is a AAA summer guide discount book, that I am now in possession of. Essentially this book list all the fun summer get away places and the rates you (me) as a AAA member can go to these places for. All rates discounted of course. So that was the second thing. Or maybe third, I may have gotten ahead of myself. So I will tell you the other it of information I gained yesterday.

Hershey Park now has a water park! I know they had some slides and what not, but now it is a full on water park, or so we were told from the lady at AAA yesterday. I haven't been there in a few years, so this may not be news to most, seeing as I do not know when they officially named it The Boardwalk. Then again, it could have always been named and I was to ignorant and drunk on chocolate to care. The website does say "New for 2009," but that could be the wave pool.

I am also looking forward to the Chocolate world tour. I like that little ride through the Cocoa bean fields and into the oven. What great ride. OH OH OH OH OH ! And the Zoo! Hershey does have a nice zoo. Zoo America is great! They have an anteater there. They look like this.
Now that cheers up my mood a bit. Now I feel a little more whimsical, like this. But because you can not embed this video you'll have to click here to see what I am talking about.

And with that I leave you with this.

That is all, carry on.

I Want to Grow Old With You.

The great Adam Sandler said it best. But he neglected some facts. Yes I would like to grown old with someone, and yes I have found that someone. But I don't want to grow old with her.

I don't want to grown old at all, and I don't want her to grow old either. As I get more days under my belt and more work experience, I feel a new form of gowning pains. Any they are the pains of keeping my eyes open. It is a hard fight, and a losing battle for me.

It seems almost like a light switch flick off in my head at 10:30. My eyes, the lights to the inside of my body, seem to want to go out or close. It is never ending war that wadges on day after day. I get home from a long day at the office and need to unwind and relax. Some days are better than others, more energy, feel like I can chase down a caribou. Others I just want to crawl under my bed and sleep for days. Yes under my bed, you won't find me to wake me, if you can't find me to begin with. Dang! I just ruined it all.

"Back in the day," yes I went there. OK, back in the Quint's days, a friend of mine had an uncle he called uncle weekend. Now I am sure you can figure out where is nickname came from, but lately i find myself "Working for the weekends." But for a whole other reason. OK and to drink copious amounts of alcohol. But mostly so I can sleep in. And to me sleeping in is until 8 a.m.

Yes, if i can sleep until 8, I can win the daily battle and be up until at least midnight. Imagine what happens if I sleep until 9! But anything over that and I am back to where I am if I get up at 6:30 a.m.

I think you a can kind of see where I am going with the sleeping in and working for the weekend thing. I want to sleep in every day and everyday be the weekend! OK, OK, that's not it.

I want to find that damn fountain of youth! So I can go back to the days of getting 4 hours of sleep being able to go to class, do my work, and drink all night long, and do it all again. But I am selfish and want to have the knowledge I have now, and the comforts I have now.

Like driving around on The Meepers, having the girl I want to spend my eternal youth with, and knowing that drinking 1/5 of Vodka and a lot of rum is a bad idea.

Now is all of that to much to ask? I didn't think so. So next weekend I plan to sleep until 9, and head out on The Meepers in search for my dreams. Hey people took off with less and found their fortunes, why can't I find mine? I am not even looking for gold here, just some water to drink.

Moving on... Guess what? I went and got a raise! OK, so it is my yearly raise and not much more., but it is still a raise. Now I am going to get The Meepers plated in gold! and then powder coated red to protect the gold.

He seems to like that idea. Here is the rendering I showed him. This depicts the final product, post gold plating and red powder coating.
Looks good right? He dug it, and it got the coveted Meepers Seal of Approval.
We also have some more work planed. Most will go under the proverbial hood. So that would be his battery box and inside the swing arm in Meepers case. We are going to buy a new CDI with a higher rev limiter, a new variator, and some roller weights, and possibly a Kevlar belt. The stock belt is still fine and Kevlar wont really make much of a difference. I already have some blue clutch spring to install with the rest. But the biggest thing, and this will come last. A new pipe! Finally! I have been wanting to put one on for a while. But I need to get some other things done first. Oh and I need to save up some cash.

On a final note, watch out for this man. I hear he has spent far to many hours of his life on the phone getting bounced around from India to America.
That is all, carry on.

AAARRGGHHH!

This made me cringe! I actually saw it a few days ago, but thought about it again today.

Very disturbing how people just don't pay attention. There was another video of an old man very slowly, like 15 mph, crossing three lanes of traffic. He cut off a man on a motorcycle. The cyclist hit manages to crawl to the side of the road.

These remind me of a situation that happened to me a few weeks ago. Luckily neither me or The Meepers were injured. He was at worse risk than myself.

We were stopped at a red light on a steep hill on our way to visit Amy at work. Now, I always give a large birth on steep hills. The Egg is a standard, and I roll when I am getting going. So I am considerate and make sure there is plenty of room. This is what saved us.

There was an old man in the car in front of me. I guess being 97 (this man looked like he actually died years ago) he forgets or doesn't have the dexterity to use a brake peddle. This is a very good PSA for old people to stop driving. I think you can see where this is going. He started to roll back.

Well the horn on The Meepers isn't exactly loud, but that combined with me screaming, which is very, very loud, he should have heard me. He also should have noticed that HIS CAR WAS MOVING BACKWARDS AT A RED LIGHT! So I begin to move backwards. But the huge truck behind me didn't have the hill etiquette that I posses. So he was right on my ass.

Things were not looking good for The Meepers and myself at that moment in time. But Heaven was looking down on us, that or the Quaker Steak and Lube next to us. The old man stopped, very short from turning us int a pancake of blood and steal. Though I think The Meepers would have sacrifice himself for me to get out of the way, if it came to that of course. But I was not ready to leave a Meepers behind!

Me being the polite, upstanding gentleman that I am. I scream a little more, then rode up next to his car. Knock (slam) on his window, until the very confused, barley able to move hand, rolls down the window (not power windows). I then proceed to yell in his face until the light turned green, said one final "F You" to him and sped away at a whopping 15 mph. This was a very steep hill.

So if you see this man, you have my permission to punch him in the dick.
OK now that that is out of the way, you can now listen to my blog! Thanks to the fellers over at Odiogo, you can click a button and listen to a computer voice read the words that I type! I have yet to listen to it read my blog to me, as I have just installed it now, but I heard it read another blog. It is pretty funny. let's see if it will last here.

That is all, carry on.

My Eyes! My Eyes!

So I seem to have a recurring problem with my eyes. They keep getting all irritated and red. it looks pretty bad, but they really don't hurt. They just look really bad, like I am stoned all the time. Well it is not all the time. I think I need to cool it on my contacts for more than a week. But if you know me, you know that is no going to happen.

I hate wearing glasses. I can't see shit, and it is a pain in the ass to wear them why I am wearing a helmet. But as I type this i am wearing them. I happen to go to the Lav at work and saw my eyes. They are not to bad, so I opted to take out my two eyes and put my four on.

The only reasonable way around this! Corrective Surgery! Yes, have maned up and I am ready. And I a really excited about getting it done. Now the tedious part. Getting it done. Seeing as I have no personal days pr vacation days, I kind of get shafted. I may haven't until November.

Now I have been working for this company for 3 years now. But I have only been full time for less than a year. But I have been on the payroll sense last July (I was laid off for a while, then they brought me back). But they don't seem to care that I have paid my dues. I have to wait until November to get the time I need so I can take a day or two off of work.

But I am going to see what I can do before that. I even hear a rumor that they may pay part of it. I mean it does work out in their favor. Other wise they will presumable have to pay for an eye exam, contacts and new lenses every year, and new frames every 2 years. that works out to be a few hundred every year.

Now if we do some math, in 3 years that is roughly what it would cost to get the Lasik done. If I work here (They don't shit can me again) for 4 more years, they already spent more money on corrective lenses than the corrective surgery would have cost.

So what do you think? I have been chatting with my cousins girlfriend who recently went under the proverbial knife. She digs it. And now I do to.

I look forward to doing a little Review Monday on Lasik Surgery at North East Eye.

It will be nice to be able to ride The Meepers with fresh vision. Cruising along at a top speed of 43 mph and being able to see with out the aid pf corrective lenses.

Nice to dream. So I will have to delve into the paperwork I received from work to see if I am partially covered or not, then go to the seminar and hopefully at least get the eye exams covered under my insurance.

Sorry for the short blogs lately, my time has been very taxed. What can I say, I'm a popular guy.

That is all, carry on.

They Got Me....

...by the short hairs!

Get your head out of my fly! I am not talking about the short and curlies! I am talking about what is left of my hair from me pulling it out over the past two days. But it makes me feel wanted. And you know I like that.

I get this warm feeling way down deep. Down in the sub-cockles area. It makes me feel like warm apple pie.
And Beer. And you know how much I like beer.

I am swamped today so this is going to be very vast. I like beer so much that I am 3 beers away from my current goal of 500. So tonight I am making a special appearance at Coopers to knock that life long goal out of the park.

Some times you got to swing for the fences, and tonight, I am doing just that. And two weeks from now, I begin reaching for the stars! I have nothing better to do, than go for 1000! By my calculations that is at least 4 more years away. and a lot more money. But what is life without goals

NOTHING! And I am full of them!

I don't know what this is suppose to mean, but when I did a Google image search of "Life without goals," this is the first image that came up. So I am sharing it with you.
