Dead Bunny's Don't Close Their Eyes.

This is a very true statement. Three-year-olds are so honest.

Well I had a bit of a scare and a freak out on Saturday. It was time for The Meepers 500 mile oil change. Well actually he was over due by a hundred or two. I was waiting on this to come in before I did the change.
The Meepers has no oil filter, but only a catch screen, which I forgot to check. I remembered after the oil was back in the tank, but then as you can guess, it was to late. Well this nifty drain plug has a Rare Earth Magnet (the man made silver thing you can see on the tip) that catches all the little shards of metal. So it essentially acts as my oil filter. This arrived on Friday of last week, so I set aside time Saturday morning to change my oil and give The Meepers a once over. So I changed my oil, as I always have, but I managed to drip a little more on the ground than normal. Oh well, it was on the road and not the garage floor. Then I did something new.

I checked my air filter. I saw a little oil in there and got a little nervous, I later found this was OK. But I went ahead and cleaned it out and cleaned a little bit of crap off my air filter. All in all, it was still really clean, which was good because I don't have a replacement on hand. so I put everything back together and head inside to talk to my parents.

I work on my scooter at their house, because the street is less busy than mine, and they have a garage I can work in if the weather is not cooperating.

So I head inside to chat with mom and dad for a bit. Then about 1 p.m. I get ready to head home so I can clean up my apartment and get my car. I had to come back to my parents to get an old TV I gave to JT. So I hope on The Meepers and he starts up and idles fine. I let him Idle for about a minute to cycle the new oil through. then I give it some gas, I hit about 15 mph and...... Buck, Buck, Buck. He keeps bogging down and bucking.

My first thought was that the oils is still working it's way through the engine, so I stop on the side of the road and wait another minute. Then continue on my way. Well the rest of the way down the block the same thing. I ended up coming back and tearing the air box off again. After all this is the only thing I did differently.

So I am freaking out because next to Amy and the Pupster, The Meepers is my favorite thing in the world. So I take off the air box expecting to see oil every where or the air filter not seated properly. But all seems OK. So I put that back together again, and then check the oil, that is perfectly seated in the middle of the XXXX'x on the dip stick. So I try again, even worse. Now I am freaking out hard core. I let him idle for about 5 minutes and nothing.

I run in the house and hop on TR to search around, this is when I find that some oil in the air box is OK, but nothing on my problem. So I post about it, then I go and take the air box off again. This time it hits me. To much air. One pesky screw felt like it was tightened all the way, but alas it was not.

So I seated the box one last time, and made sure every thing was tight. And sure enough ran like a dream. It was later confirmed that that was indeed my problem. And that problem was an air leak. Thanks to Dr. EZP for confirming that for me. But I was still a bit riled up and I yelled at Amy, then immediately realized I was the asshole, and apologized. It took me a few hours to fully calm down.

It wasn't until I was out riding my bike with Kim and JT that I finally mellowed out. And then we were off on an adventure! We had found some trails by this relay creepy house 2 weeks ago, so we went back to ride them again, and take pictures of the house. Here you go.

Yes that is a goat with a branch stuck on it's head, and a chicken duck. Yes they have chickens and ducks, and they mated, I am not lying. And if you look closely you can see the other goat laying in a wagon in the back left. Mind you all of this is in a rural neighborhood in Jesup PA. This kind of shit can only happen in The NEPA.

Later that night Amy and I went to some bar up in Newton Ransome. The food was really good, the french fries were great! But I had one of the worst draft beers of my life. I actually left a sip or two behind because it was making me feel sick. On top of being in the middle of no where, it was really expensive. We were there for about 2 hours and I spent like $40! now we did get food, but another $25 on 6 Lagers is a joke. $2.75 for a domestic beer that is brewed 2 hours south of here is unreasonable. Bottle or draft same price, and I almost threw up because they don't clean their taps.

What was the name of said bar you ask, O'Neil's Bar and Grill. They had a nice patio, but there was some bad rain on the way up, so the patio was soaked and pretty much out of the question or the night.

Sunday, cook out at my parents! Beer, shish kabob and corn! Great time. and left overs were great for lunch today.

So that was my weekend, interesting and tense, all in the same day!

That is all, carry on.
