It is Almost Time!
Well you may or may not know, Amy and I are buying a house. You may also know we were suppose to close on said home this past Friday at 1 p.m. As it turns out the Bank was slacking off.
The Bank blamed it on the Seller, the Seller blamed it on the Bank. All I know is it wasn't Amy or myself. No one asked us for anything. In fact, I called the guy from the Bank and asked if he needed updated information from us and sent it right over just to be safe. So This hold up was now on our part.
Well 1 turned into a phone call at 3 from the closing agency that the Bank finally sent over the most of the paper work. So the appointment was set at 4:30. So Amy and I got there at 4. We started signing knowing we wouldn't offically own the home that day because the Seller wasn't going to be able to make it and we didn't have the numbers from the Bank for the closing costs yet.
Well it was a X-Mas miracle! We almost closed on the house. The seller did show up and signed the papers as well. But we didn't get the HUD sheet until about 5:30. So we now have all the paperwork we need.
Bla Bla Bla. The seller went home after he did his signing, so he wasn't around an hour later when the numbers came in. So as it stands, Amy and I own a house, but we have not paid for it yet. As of Monday, we will 100% own a home and be on the line for some where around $150,000 (If we take 30 years to pay off the home with out over paying and money to the principle).
Also check out this Blog. It is funny as hell: Hyperbole and a Half.
That is all, carry on.
