Well last week Amy and I went on our second tour of the Martin Guitar Factory. I must say, 90% of the tour was the same. But that is what happens when you go a few months apart. But we did get to see two different areas!
OK, one new area, and a different, better view of anthoer area. We had their IT guy give us the tour this time around. I must say the first tour guy gave a better tour, but we did get some different information.
First I'll tell you about the two new areas. First we got to go out on the balcony of the wood shop. We saw all the machines cutting the tops, backs, sides, necks, ect. We got to see this last time (and the view from tour one on tour two), but we were not permitted to go out onto the balcony the first time. This made me very happy!
New area number two! And this we did not see at all the first time. We got to peek in on the R & D department. We got to see two prototypes that never made it out alive. And I must say, Martinshould never had tried to develop these guitars. They are down right ugly. Ornage metal flack paint job on a D-28 with a silver binding on one guitar. On the other, gloss black paint with purple and silver flames. No sound hole, instead 4 small holes with silver grates to look like car grills over them.
Now the tour guides. Tour guide number one: Old rocker dude. Knew his shit, and had a tone of great stories. He really knew about the whole process of building guitars and what each person job was. He was cool and had a way about him. Tour guide number two: IT guy. pretty nerdy, and very factual. He knew all the steps along the line, and why they were nessisary for quality, but not really what they were about. He gave us a lot of facts and information that we did not get on tour number one.
Both tours were great, and if anyone wants to do the tour, I am ready to do it again... anytime. I loved it! I will say that tour number one was better, but I remembered my real camera this time around! I took about 140 photos, so here are a few of them.
And the last photo I am going to post today:
BAM! YA!
If you would like to view all 140 photos feel free to visit my Martin Guitar Tour Photobucket page.
That is all, carry on.

Video Friday... on Thursday!
I know I have traditionally done Fridays as video day, but with limited adventures and things to bitch about, I felt today, Thursday, was a good day for a video or two. Hell I saw this video minutes ago and well, I needed to share.
Now aren't you glad I was in a sharing kind of mood? I know I feel better that I did my civic duty for the day.
It is still early though, only 1:02 p.m. EST and there is still a bike ride out there for me to tackle today. So you never know, I may see some more rapes of the animal (or human, but hopefully not) variety and I will have that to write about.
But I do have another thing to talk about for a minute. Last week Amy and I ordered shoes from Tom's Shoes. She bought a pair a few months ago and really liked them so we decided it was time for more. I myself was stoked because the pair I wanted when Amy made her last order was now in stoke in my size!
So we ordered up our shoes and set out to wait patiently for them to arrive in the mail. This morning our doorbell rings. At first I thought it was part of my crazy dream of Chris Rock being a great Jazz musician and Amy and I watching him and the crazy antics that ensue when Chris Rock is playing Jazz guitar. But no, it was the actual doorbell ringing.
So I tossed on some shorts and a shirt and answered the door. There was a UPS man in his brown uniform starring at me. I accepted the package and came back inside to open up our prize. The first pair to come out of the box were Amy's shoes, they are very nice. then I grab mine.
As I look at the shoes and all their simple glory I see the size printed on the inside of the shoe. MENS 10. I think to myself.... I ordered a 9.
Yup the box, hang tab and invoice all say mens size 9 on them. But no, they were tagged wrong and I got a size to big. So I put them on and yup, they are a little big. But I think I can deal with this. But the part that gets my goat is this... This is the second time Amy bought me shoes, and the second time when they got here the shoes were not the size ordered.
Let's rewind this two Christmases ago. Amy bought me a pair of slip on Chucks to replace my badly beaten pair. The pair being replaced was a size 9 (my normal shoe size), but the reviews said get a half a size smaller because they run big. OK, my old pair ran a but big so she ordered me an 8.5. Great. Christmas comes and I get my shoes. Damn if the box, hang tag and invoice didn't say 8.5, but the damn shoes were a 7.5!
Well third time is a charm, so next time Amy buys me a pair of shoes they should be the right size.....or so I hope.
OK, Time to put this blog on pause for a while. I need to chill, apply for jobs and go for my bike ride. All of this gives me more material to write about on this blog. And I know how much you all miss my blogging 5 days a week.
But while I am on pause, here is a little something for you:
And this brilliant interpritation of the Wilks-Barre PA culture:
Well the best part of my bike ride is when I made a goose shit it's feathers. That's right, I made a goose shit it feathers. As I rode my bike past it, the goose got scared and dropped some poop!
Also when I got home there was a redneck fight in the hallway while I was trying to get my keys out to get inside my place. Sorry to make you all wait for not much more of a blog. But this is how the goose shits it's feathers.
That is all, carry on.

Well Now,
It's been a long while sense I posted any real content on this here blog. I must say I miss it so. I have been lazy and depressed about the un-employment (still jobless by the way. Anyone know of any openings and I am all over it). So I am trying to make an effort to get back into the swing of life. I have a few new hobbies, one of which seems to be observing animal rapes.
Yes, you read that right, I have been observing lots of animal rapes. Weissport seems to be the animal rapes center of the world. If you are a little lost, I'll back it up a few steps so you can all be brought up to speed.
It stared last month. Amy and I were out for a walk on the canal when we came across our first duck rapes. We saw two male ducks chasing a female duck. Male duck number one jumps onto the back of the female duck. Well male duck number two did not like this, and began to bite duck number one. Eventually duck number one retreated, leaving the female duck open for rapes number 2. And rapes number two is exactly what happened.
Duck number two jumped on the back the the female duck and started biting and rapesing her. Basically he started drowning her while humping her. After a time, she was able to brake free, or duck number two got his rocks off. Either way they went their separate ways, leaving Amy and myself in utter awe of what we had just witnessed.
It all looked something like this, but much more voilent and with more lady duck head under water:
Moving on.
Later that week Amy and I were watching Dirty Jobs and we saw a camel rapes. This was pretty disturbing. It looked something like this:
That face tells all the story needed to be told on this topic.
Moving on.
Last week I was out for a bike ride and some geocaching when I came across duck rapes number two. This time it was a little more disturbing. It was more like an all man duck gang rapes. There were two males ducks chasing another male duck. The end result was one male duck being rapesed by two other male ducks. He looked sore.
Now for rapes number three. You may have seen this one for yourself. Have you been watching Life? Well Amy and I have been watching it. It is pretty good, you may want to check it out. Any way..... there is an episode about insects. They are talking about beas (I forget what kind of beas, but they ladies live in ground). Well when they come to the serface they excreta fermions. And this drives the men crazy. Well they start to fight and kill each other. And.... you guessed it, rapes the females. It is flippin crazy!
We live in the rapes nexus of the universe! Needless to say, but I am going to say it anyway (incase you get any idea), I don't leave the house without my corn-hole protector on. I may have put on some weight, but my ass is still in amazing shape!
My other hobbies are growing as well, but I need some money to build my next project.... if I get about $500, I'll let you know what that project is. But I am gearing up.
This is where I leave you for today, hopefully I have something to write about tomorrow. And hopefully I get motivation to work on my website too.
That is all, carry on.
