The worst DJ I have ever heard is at The Keys in Down Town Scranton on Parade Day '12. I have heard a lot of bad DJ's over the past 10-15 years

Pow Wow

So yesterday Oliver and I attended the Pit Bull Pow Wow, hosted by Modified K9. This past Sunday's walk took place at Frances Slocum State Park. I must say, we had a BLAST! Oliver got along with all the other dogs. No crying, no whining, no barking, just good clean fun. In addition, he was so beat when we got home all he wanted to do was sleep on the couch. And hog the whole damn thing.

In fact the only time he really got up, was when the washer decided to start banging really loudly and walking itself across the floor. But we took care of that in a hurry.

Back to the Pow Wow and MK9. They are a great bunch of people doing a great thing. Everyone we met yesterday was really nice, full of helpful information, and just good down to Earth people.

They do an amazing thing for such a misunderstood breed of dog. There is a lot of press out there, good and bad, but most of it is just press. So rarely do people actually stand up and do something about an issue the feel strongly about. Most of the time it is just talk (pretty much what I am doing here) and ends there. There is no action or end result.

But MK9 is taking action. They are saving these dogs, fostering them, adopting then out to responsible owners. They are having events and spreading the word that these are great dogs. Family dogs. Family members.

I feel as though I am at a loss of words today. My mins is not firing on all cylinders this morning. Oliver was so beat last night he didn't want to go out before bed, so he woke me up extra early this morning. You know what that means. I have been up sense 8! I know 8 is not early. Hell for the old me that was really late. But the new me sleeps until 9 or 10 (seems like 10 all the time any more).

*Shakes the cobwebs lose*
